The law was widely criticised.
DENPASAR, - The arrivals of South Korean tourists in the first quarter of 2011 declined slightly 1.39 percent to 28,002 people from those in the same period a year earlier which stood at 28,356 people.
"They mostly arrived through Bali’s Ngurah Rai Airport, with a plane that flew them directly from South Korea. Only two of them arrived through a sea port on a boat cruise," said head of Bali’s Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) Ir Gede Suarsa here on Sunday.
He said that even though the number of South Korean tourist arrivals was declining, yet this country still maintained its position as the seventh biggest tourist exporter to Bali. South Korea is the seventh biggest tourist exporter after Australia, China, Japan, Malaysia and Taiwan.
In 2010, the number of tourists visiting Bali totaled 124,729. It dropped slightly compared with that in the previous year which stood at 124,889.
